Asbestos Containing Building Materials
An asbestos survey is required before beginning any demolition or remodel project to make sure the waste material brought to the Roseburg Landfill is free of asbestos. For the latest rules and definitions visit the Oregon DEQ website or contact us at 541-440-4267 for asbestos disposal permits and more information.

What is C&D Waste?
Definition Taken from Douglas County Code
"Solid waste and building materials resulting from the construction, demolition, deconstruction, remodeling, repair, and cleanup of buildings and other structures, including, but not limited to, wood, plaster, metals, asphaltic substances, bricks, block, asphalt and concrete."

This means ANY debris and waste generated from a construction, remodel, or demolition site. The origin of the waste is not the issue, it is the make up.

As of January 1, 2008 a $60.00 per ton fee is assessed upon all C&D waste entering the solid waste stream. This fee is applied to all loads over one cubic yard. Loads of one cubic yard or larger can only be accepted at the Roseburg and Reedsport transfer stations.
